EXCLUSIVE: The Paramount horror movie Primate is rounding out its cast with 10 actors: Jessica Alexander (Amadeus), Victoria Wyant (My Fault: London), Benjamin Cheng, Gia Hunter (Sherlock and Daughter), Miguel Torres Umba (National Theatre co-production Kin), Kae Alexander (Ready Player One), Tienne Simon (Grime Kids), Charlie Mann (Lazarus), Amina Abdi and Albert Magashi (National Theatre Live: Dear England). They join the previously announced leads Troy Kotsur and Johnny Sequoyah.

Deadline revealed the project was in the works back in July from producer Walter Hamada and starring Oscar winner Kotsur. The project falls under Hamada’s exclusive first-look deal with Paramount which began on January 1, 2023. Sequoyah came aboard in August.

Johannes Roberts and Ernest Riera penned the screenplay, with the former also set to direct. Hamada produces Primate via his 18hz production company alongside John Hodges and Bradley Pilz.

Alexander is repped by United Agents and Rogue Management; Wyant is repped by Independent Talent Group; Cheng is repped by PHA Agency; Hunter is repped by A&J Artists; Torres Umba is repped by Noel Gay; Alexander is repped by IAG; Simon is repped by Independent Talent Group; Mann is repped by Victoria Lepper Associates; Abdi is repped by Identity Agency Group; and Magashi is repped by Independent Talent Group.
