Jessica Biel attended day four of the 2024 US Open held yesterday in Queens, New York. The “7th Heaven” star brought along her and husband Justin Timberlake‘s son, Silas Timberlake.
Taking the stands, Biel embraced the last few days of summer in a pair of espadrilles. The slip-on style featured textural tan cloth uppers that gave way to thick woven soles, a feature found in most espadrille styles. Almond-shaped toes gave way to elasticized collars that made for easy on and off. Rubber soles gave the style traction for a non-slip feel.
Timeless and endlessly versatile, the espadrille silhouette has been around since the 13th century where they were worn by Catalan peasants and soldiers. The shoe has gone through many changes since then, getting major upgrades in color, height and print.
Many have adopted espadrilles thanks to their mix of comfort and style. Similar silhouettes to Biel’s own can be shopped from top brands like Ralph Lauren, Chloe, Tory Burch, J. Crew and Vince, among others.
On the outfit front, Biel kept it casual in an oversized cream-colored blazer and a white cami tucked into matching cream-colored trousers. The thespian toted a black leather bag and rounded out her look with dainty jewelry. Biel’s personal aesthetic is the definition of classic. She always has fun with her looks and incorporates trends into her wardrobe each season, but at its core, her style stays true to its timelessness year after year.
The 2024 US Open Tennis Championships takes place from Aug. 26, through Sept. 8. Matches will air on ABC and ESPN and stream on Sling TV. So far, the championships have gathered a crowd of impressive famous folk including Anna Wintour, Vera Wang, Misty Copeland, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Katie Couric and Billie Jean King, among others.
