Jim Carrey asks judge to throw Roger Stone in jail: 'There are people in prison for smoking pot!'
Jim Carrey‘s latest political drawing is a plea to Judge Amy Berman Jackson to throw Roger Stone in jail. The actor’s artwork comes after Judge Jackson scolded the former adviser to President Trump in an order issued Tuesday for the republication of a book he and his legal team failed to disclose to the court.
Carrey drew the federal district court judge along with an inset of Stone flipping his nose up at her and the court. The Kidding star tweeted, “For God sake, there are people in prison for smoking pot! Your honor, with all due respect, LOCK HIM UP!!!

Stone is rereleasing his book The Myth of Russian Collusion: The Inside Story of How Donald Trump REALLY Won, with a new introduction critical of the special counsel’s Russia investigation despite a gag order that prohibits him from making such public statements.
“There is no question that the order prohibited and continues to prohibit the defendant from making any public statements, using any medium, concerning the investigation,” Jackson wrote Tuesday. “It does not matter when the defendant may have first formulated the opinions expressed, or when he first put them into words: he may no longer share his views on these particular subjects with the world.”

The filing comes after Stone nearly had his $250,000 bond revoked last month for posting a photo on Instagram that appeared to show the judge next to a rifle scope’s crosshair. Although Judge Jackson let Stone remain free on bail, she extended her gag order to bar Stone from publicly speaking or giving interviews about the investigation, the case or any of the participants.
“What all this means, Mr. Stone, is that any violation of this order will be a basis for revoking your bond and detaining you pending trial. So I want to be clear, today I gave you a second chance. But this is not baseball,” she warned in February. “There will not be a third chance. If you cannot, or will not, or do not comply with today’s orders, I will find it necessary to adjust your environment so that you don’t have access to the temptations posed by cameras, phones, computers and microphones.”
Carrey has been sharing his artwork on social media throughout Trump’s presidency, often taking aim at him and many of the president’s advisors and staff.
