"I feel the love, and I love you back. Thank you for always supporting any new idea I have. You believing in me makes me believe in me," Fallon shared in a message to his fans
Jimmy Fallon is sending his fans a special thank you as he celebrates his 50th birthday.
On Sept. 19, The Tonight Show host thanked fans for their support over the years in a message on X (formerly known as Twitter).
“Today I am turning 50 years old,” he wrote alongside a throwback picture of himself opening presents and sporting a birthday cone hat.
“I just want to say thank you for giving me this great life,” he shared. “I’m very lucky. I appreciate the applause, laughter, and support, whether it be at one of my shows, walking down the street, at a basketball game in France, or even stranded and lost in a Bavarian field.”

“I feel the love, and I love you back. Thank you for always supporting any new idea I have,” he added. “You believing in me makes me believe in me.”
The father of two concluded his message by sharing that he had recently donated to food organizations including Feeding America, Long Island Cares and Bridgehampton Food Pantry.
“I am sending my birthday wish to you all for a great year to come. Thank you,” he added with the hashtag #FallonIs50.
In addition to celebrating his birthday, Fallon is also campaigning for PEOPLE's Sexiest TV Hosts in our reader's poll and he issued a plea to his fellow nominees to drop out of the race on the Sept. 18 episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.

"I'm up against Seth Meyers, Mario Lopez and Mark Consuelos. Yuck!" Fallon told the audience, before he began making arguments as to why each of his competitors should concede to him.
"I'm very honored, but Seth would let me have this... He would want me to have this. He's a younger dude — let grandpa have one thing," Fallon joked.
After narrowing it down to Lopez and Consuelos, Fallon teased that they're both "fine" but "I think they would let me have it as well."
He then realized that the Live with Kelly and Mark and Access Hollywood hosts could "choose to be taken off the ballot," and he delivered a message to them both to explain why they should drop out.

In March, the talk show host shared during an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna that he had already begun preparing for his milestone birthday by starting to wake up "at the crack of dawn."
As part of his new morning routine, Fallon also shared that he went on to his treadmill, "which is covered in clothes,” and took his blood pressure.
Fallon laughed and said, "Is it a midlife crisis? I think it's what you do when you're almost 50."
Host Hoda Kotb, who turns 60 in August, then offered some words of encouragement. "By the way, Jimmy, I'm just here to tell you, 50? That whole decade? Is going to be the best decade of your life," she said.
The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs weeknights 11:35 p.m. ET on NBC.
