Joe Budden Reacts To Kanye West Name-Dropping Him During South Korea Show

Kanye West performed alongside Ty Dolla $ign at the Goyang Stadium in Seoul, South Korea Friday (Aug. 23), name-dropping a few rappers while on stage. One of them, podcaster Joe Budden, has reacted to Ye shouting him out.

The Vultures 2 listening experience featured West entering the arena on horseback, reports HipHopDX. Fans were taken aback when he showed love to on-again, off-again rival, Drake, as he dedicated his performance of “I Wonder” from his 2007 album Graduation to the “Family Matters” artist. He also name-dropped Budden by casually singing his name during a performance of his Donda (Deluxe) track, “24.”

After being tagged by fans, the retired MC hopped on social media to acknowledge the moment, playfully mimicking West singing his name and joking that the South Korean crowd likely had no clue who he was.

“Jooeeee Budden! God’s not finished,” he jokingly crooned. “Them Korean ni**as was like, ‘what the f**k are you talking about,'” he added, with a laugh. See the moment and Budden’s reaction below.

The moment follows Budden and Yung Miami getting into a back-and-forth on X/Twitter after the City Girls rapper laughed at him receiving a Gold plaque for his 2003 single “Pump It Up” in 2024. He responded that it would be “too easy” to insult her in kind, which prompted the “Act Up” artist to remind Budden to laugh a little.

“Another one bites the dust remember??? You was just celebrating when you THOUGHT I took an L. I can laugh, YOU was just laughing at me so LETS LAUGH!,” she suggested.

“You’re right… I’ll laugh tmw,” Budden replied. “Like i always say, laughter is good for the soul.”
