Joey King to Receive Award From Max Mara, Attend Thursday’s Runway Show
MILAN – Emmy-nominated actress Joey King will be the 19th recipient of the annual WIF Max Mara Face of the Future Award.
King is expected at the Max Mara show in Milan on Thursday.

The actress will receive the award, which recognizes impressive acting and producing work, during the 2024 WIF Honors on Oct. 24.

The American actress has solidified her career appearing in “The Conjuring,” and in “The Kissing Booth” series on Netflix. In the television space, King is widely known for her portrayal of Gypsy Rose Blanchard in Hulu’s limited series “The Act.” Her performance has earned her SAG Award, Golden Globes, Critic’s Choice and Emmy nominations.
King can most recently be seen in Tommy Kail’s “We Were the Lucky Ones,” and starring opposite Nicole Kidman and with Zac Efron in Netflix’s “A Family Affair.” Other recent projects include leading roles and producing credits in “The in Between” for Paramount+ and “The Princess” for Hulu.

Actress Yara Shahidi received the award last year. Founded in 1973 as Women in Film, Los Angeles, WIF advocates for and advances the careers of women working in the screen industries, to achieve parity and transform culture. Past recipients include Zazie Beetz, Gemma Chan, Elizabeth Debicki, Alexandra Shipp, Zoey Deutch, Natalie Dormer, Kate Mara, Rose Byrne, Hailee Steinfeld, Chlo? Grace Moretz, Katie Holmes, Zo? Saldana, Elizabeth Banks, Ginnifer Goodwin, Emily Blunt and Maria Bello. In 2022, Lili Reinhart was bestowed the award.
