John Krasinski and James Corden Make Hilarious Changes to Classic Movies
On The Late Late Show With James Corden, the host claimed that he and John Krasinski had been in a bunch of blockbuster films together. Unfortunately, Corden also said they were fired from those films. During a fake documentary, Krasinski and Corden reminisced about the movies they weren’t in together, while showing clips of them shooting famous scenes.
In each scene, the guys messed up lines or improvised lines, which forced the director to yell “cut” every time, before eventually firing them. The first film was Gone With the Wind, and after Krasinski said, “Frankly my dear, I don’t give a damn,” he pulled a microphone out of his jacket and dropped it. The two also did a scene in A Few Good Men where they went back and forth yelling that the other one couldn’t “handle the truth.”
There was one movie from which only Krasinski got fired. While shooting a scene for Into the Woods, the director asked him if he was married to Emily Blunt. The voice off-camera then asked Krasinski if he could have Blunt’s number because he thought she would be better for the role, which she actually played in real life. And Krasinski was pretty upset about losing the role to his wife.
The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
