Comedic actor Stephen Merchant introduced Legend for the Emmy-nominated show’s one-off live event on Spike. The performance also featured Muppet-like puppets on the sideline as Legend’s wife, show host, Chrissy Teigen cheered him on from the sideline.
Legend faced off against Olympic superstar Michael Phelps, Brooklyn Nine-Nine‘s Terry Crews and actress Olivia Munn for the first-ever all-star title. Ultimately, Phelps won out but we’ll chalk that up at least a little to the show’s producers avoiding allegations of nepotism; plus the guy’s an American hero, after all.
