John Travolta Shares Touching Words About Bruce Willis During 'Pulp Fiction' Cast Reunion
The cast of 1994's Pulp Fiction reunited this week to celebrate the film's 30th anniversary, but one actor was notably absent: Bruce Willis. The 69-year-old star has retired from public life after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia, and as such was unable to attend.
Willis was represented at the event by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, and daughter, Tallulah Willis. During a red carpet interview with E! News, co-star John Travolta paid tribute to the actor and their experience working together on the film.
"Bruce and I had a history. We did Look Who's Talking together, and we had a massive success with it," Travolta recalled. "So we were [friends]. We had been on vacation together, Kelly [Preston] and I with Bruce and Demi [Moore]. So this was not new. We were comfortable with each other."
The actor recalled working with Willis on the Quentin Tarantino film, saying their pre-existing relationship helped things come together naturally.
"It was very easy to be with each other and relax, you know?" Travolta said. "And there was real genuine care. And we felt lucky we were in a very special movie."
