Jon Bon Jovi slams Kim Kardashian: Her autobiography will be 'I made a porno' and 'got famous'
So, Jon Bon Jovi definitely doesn’t have his DVR set to E! on Sunday nights. The 56-year-old rocker put the Kardashians on blast while condemning the modern-day cult of celebrity.
“I think it’s horrific that we live in that world, and I can tell you I’ve never given 60 seconds of my life, ever, to one of those ‘Housewives of Blah Blah’ or Kardashians,” he said on Australia’s The Sunday Project. “I don’t even know their names. I’ve never watched 60 seconds of their show.”
“It’s not for me,” he added. (In case you had any doubt.)
But the “It’s My Life” singer has certainly heard all about Kim Kardashian, saying the only way she’s made a name for herself is from that 2007 sex tape.
“What’s going to be in your autobiography? ‘I made a porno and guess what? I got famous,’” he quipped. “F*** sorry, I’ll pass.”
Bon Jovi’s advice for any youth seeking fame is simple. “Go and write a book, paint a painting, act, study, sing, play, write,” he said.
Kardashian, who is the queen of clap-backs, has yet to comment on the diss. However, she recently opened up about her sex tape and its impact on her life.
“Well, I thought that for Paris [Hilton’s 2004 sex tape] it was explosive and a super lot of attention for her too, in a positive way,” she reflected in this month’s Richardson magazine. “But once you go through it and you have those conversations with your parents and grandparents and everyone that you’d be really embarrassed about it with, I think you get to a point where you’re like, ‘OK, we’re dealing with this legally, and it’s time to move on.’”
She continued, “Everyone deals with things differently, and I seem to deal with things — whether the sex tape, the robbery, even the death of my dad, who was the most important person in my life — I push to just overcome it. I just don’t have a victim mentality. That’s never been my personality. I’ve always been like, the victor — ‘I can get past this, and this will not define me.’”
While hate against the Keeping Up With the Kardashians clan has waned in recent years, there are still a handful of celebs who are anti-Kardashian and Jenners. The Good Place star Jameela Jamil recently called the family “toxic and damaging.”
“I have had words with the Kardashians, and I think when someone is doing something that is toxic and damaging … we should all be allowed to say something about that,” she said in September, as reported in People. “You are selling us something that really doesn’t make us feel good. You’re selling us an ideal, a body shape, a problem with our wrinkles, a problem with aging, a problem with gravity, a problem with any kind of body fat. You’re selling us self-consciousness, the same poison that made you clearly develop some sort of body dysmorphia or facial dysmorphia you are now pouring back into the world. You’re recycling hatred.”
Jon Hamm has also slammed Kim Kardashian for perpetuating “idiot culture,” and Daniel Craig called the whole family “f***ing idiots.”
Hey — they have Jennifer Lawrence and Millie Bobby Brown firmly on their side, so who really cares?
