Majors’ scheduled public award appearance arrives on the heels of the actor being convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in December 2023. However, the Creed III thespian was acquitted of two other separate counts of intentional assault and aggravated harassment.

During the time of the trial, TMZ released footage showing Majors being chased on foot by his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari. The footage was shown in court, showing the couple’s fight as it transpired in the back of a vehicle. Jonathan could be seen lifting and placing Jabbari back in the car. Prosecutors claimed the interaction near the vehicles turned violent between the two, with the entertainer assaulting the Jabbari. This attack allegedly left Grace with a bloody laceration behind her ear and a bruised finger. As a result, Majors was sentenced to attend an in-person domestic violence intervention program in April 2024, which is set to last for 52 weeks.
