Jordan Davis announced as latest Illinois State Fair Grandstand performer

The Illinois State Fair announced its latest Grandstand performer Tuesday, bringing one of country music's newest and hottest voices to Springfield.

Award-winning singer and songwriter Jordan Davis, accompanied by Ashley Cooke and opener King Calaway, will perform on Aug. 13. Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday at 10 a.m. on Ticketmaster.

Prices are $49 for track and tier 1 seats, $44 for tier 2, and $39 for tier 3. A pre-show party pass is also available for $30 and Blue Ribbon Zone passes will be available for $104.

Davis, a Shreveport, La., native, is coming off his sixth career No. 1 two-time platinum hit, “Next Thing You Know" — his third consecutive No. 1 cut from his album, Bluebird Days. He also received Best New Country Artist honors at the 2019 iHeartRadio Music Awards and Billboard’s Top New Country Artist in 2018.

His songs have been streamed 4 billion times worldwide. Illinois State Fair Manager Rebecca Clark said Davis is a "crowd favorite."

Last week, fair officials announced Jason Isbell would perform on Aug. 11.

The 2024 Illinois State Fair runs from Aug. 8-18.
