Josh Brolin, Peter Dinklage Are Twins With Criminal Pasts in ‘Brothers’ Trailer

Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage have no shortage of differences in the first trailer for the comedy feature Brothers.

Director Max Barbakow’s movie hits select theaters Oct. 10 from Amazon MGM Studios before streaming on Prime Video a week later. Brendan Fraser, Glenn Close, Taylour Paige, M. Emmet Walsh and Jennifer Landon round out the cast.

Brothers centers on two criminal siblings who agree to team up for one final heist and set out on a road trip that promises chaos.

“I am finished stealing shit,” Brolin declares in the trailer. This leads Dinklage to respond, “Let’s do this one and split.”

Barbakow directed the film from a script by Macon Blair, with the story credited to Etan Cohen. Brolin, Dinklage, Andrew Lazar and David Ginsberg serve as producers on the project that hails from Legendary Pictures.

Dinklage previously explained the project’s origin during an interview with Collider. “Me and Josh Brolin play brothers,” the actor said at the time. “The origin of how we made this movie is, we pitched it to studios because a friend of his said, ‘You and Dinklage both have really big heads. You guys should play brothers.'”

Barbakow is set to write and direct a body-swap comedy feature starring Julia Roberts and Jennifer Aniston for Amazon MGM Studios. He is known for directing the 2020 Andy Samberg-led sci-fi comedy Palm Springs.

Brolin’s recent credits include the Dune franchise and the series Outer Range. Dinklage appeared in last year’s The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes and has a voice role in the forthcoming feature adaptation of Wicked.
