Josh Charles is spilling the tea on his recent cameo in Taylor Swift's single "Fortnight" from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department.
Charles and his Dead Poets Society co-star Ethan Hawke both made surprise appearances in the 14-time Grammy winner's new music video and according to the The Good Wife alum, his feature was a shock to everyone–including his own family.
"Little debrief about yesterday: I don’t like keeping secrets so that was hard. I didn’t even tell my kids until the other day! Here’s a couple of tortured old poets about to board an early flight to be pop stars for a day," Charles revealed in an Instagram post that included a recent black-and-white selfie with Hawke, now 53, as well as a throwback photo of the two from adolescence and the making of their 1989 film. "Been through a lot with this dude over the years, but safe to say this was a most memorable day."

"We were treated with such class by Taylor and her crew from beginning to end. What I’ll remember most was the laughter. There was a lot of it," the 52-year-old added. "Like we were 17 all over again. #TSTTPD."
Along with the two actors, the "Fortnight" music video also features award-winning artist Post Malone, who previously spoke about working with the 34-year-old international pop superstar on the track.
“It’s once in a lifetime that someone like @taylorswift comes into this world,” the “Rockstar” rapper wrote alongside a photo of the two in the studio. “I am floored by your heart and your mind, and I am beyond honored to have been asked to help you with your journey ?? I love you so much. Thank you Tay ??.”
