Josh Hartnett, Bridget Regan to Star on Paramount Network-Spectrum Original Series ‘Paradise Lost’
Spectrum Originals and Paramount Network have placed a series order for a Southern Gothic mystery series starring Josh Hartnett and Bridget Regan.
Per its official description, the 10-episode show, tentatively titled “Paradise Lost,” is about a psychiatrist (Regan) who moves with her family from California to her husband’s (Hartnett) hometown in Mississippi only to uncover shameful secrets that irrevocably change the lives of everyone involved.
Hartnett and Regan (“Jane the Virgin”) lead a cast that also includes Barbara Hershey (“Once Upon a Time”), Nick Nolte (“Gracepoint,” “Graves”), Gail Bean (“Snowfall”), Danielle Deadwyler (“Gifted”) and Shane McRae (Sneaky Pete).
“Paradise Lost” is created and written by Rodes Fishburne (“Blood & Oil”) who will act as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Arika Lisanne Mittman (“Dexter”). The pilot is directed by John Lee Hancock (“The Blind Side”). Hancock, David Kanter, Jeff Okin, and Romeo Tirone also executive produce.

The project hails from Paramount Television and Anonymous Content.
“‘Paradise Lost’ is a complex, compelling series full of incredible characters, including the small town in Mississippi where it is set,” Keith Cox, president of Development and Production for Paramount Network and TV Land, said. “We’re excited to see John Lee Hancock bring this incredible world to life, building on the vision that Rodes Fishburne and Arika Lisanne Mittman have so vividly created.”
The series joins Paramount Network’s growing slate of scripted programming, which includes Kevin Costner’s “Yellowstone” (returning for its second season later this month), as well as the upcoming series “68 Whiskey” from Brian Grazer and Ron Howard’s Imagine Entertainment, and the Lily Collins-led dramedy “Emily in Paris” from Darren Star.
