Juanes remembers Dan Warner. The Grammy- and Latin Grammy award-winning guitarist has died

Dan Warner, a Grammy and Latin Grammy award-winning guitarist, producer and songwriter, has died.

"Dan Warner … left us too soon," the official account for the Latin Grammys tweeted Thursday. "His legacy will live on through his work. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, daughter, and friends during this difficult time."

Gabriel Abaroa Jr., CEO of the Latin Recording Academy, said "there are no words to describe our sadness."

"We have lost an extraordinary friend, member, and music maker too soon," Abaroa Jr. added in a statement. "His music, craft, and legacy will live on through his work, the lives he touched, and the creators he inspired."

Warner won a Grammy for best Latin pop album in 2010 for his work on Alejandro Sanz's "Paraíso Express." He also took home four Latin Grammys.

He has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, Madonna, Celine Dion, Gloria Estefan, Barbra Streisand, Shakira and Ricky Martin, according to the Recording Academy.

Colombian musician Juanes, a fellow Grammy- and Latin Grammy award-winner, took to Twitter to share his sadness over the news of Warner's death.

"My soul breaks that good and talented people leave like this," he tweeted in Spanish. "Just yesterday I had chatted with him in a WhatsApp group… a hug to all your family and close friends."

Latin artist Ricardo Arjona, whose 2010 album "Poquita Ropa" was produced by Warner, also mourned his collaborator on Twitter.

“Brother of so many battles, extraordinary musician and unique human being,” Arjona tweeted in Spanish Thursday. "You left before completing the project we dreamed. I will finish it for you. Dan Warner, your guitars will keep playing."

Mexican singer Carlos Rivera also paid tribute to his collaborator, writing on Instagram, "Thank you for being part of my career."

"Dear Dan Warner, We will miss you so much," he wrote in Spanish. "Your name will be written with gold letters in the music industry not only for your incomparable talent, but also for the wonderful person you were…It is a great honor to have your name as one of the producers of my #Guerra My love to heaven. @ dw6string Rest In Peace."
