Julianne Hough Channels Disco Glamour in Sequin Bottega Veneta Rainbow Dress for ‘Dancing With the Stars’

Julianne Hough continued her hosting duties on Monday for “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC. The professional dancer cohosted alongside previous “DWTS” winner Alfonso Ribiero for the show’s “Soul Train” night.

Hough opted for a design courtesy of Bottega Veneta. The long-sleeve maxidress featured a high neckline and a diagonal stripe rainbow design, with tones of red, white, yellow, blue and black running along the dress.

The former “DWTS” pro dancer paired the allover sequin look with strappy metallic silver heels. With the dress as the centerpiece, Hough opted for minimal-to-no jewelry.

Hough’s look was curated by stylist Jennifer Mazur, who’s previously worked with Olivia Culpo.

Hough and Mazur have been working together for more than two years. WWD previously followed the former “DWTS” dancing pro as she prepped for the show’s finale in December 2023, where Mazur styled Hough in a sculptural Versace dress featuring a sheer bodice and flared skirt, along with a pair of Jimmy Choo heels. Lady Gaga wore the same dress to the Academy Awards in March 2023.

“This still feels very big and grand, but understated at the same time,” Hough told WWD at the time. Following her finale hosting duties, Hough told WWD about her choice for the after party. “I was just like, ‘let me do something that’s translatable from night to day,’” she explained. “It’s a Proenza [Schouler] dress with some Khaite boots and my YSL bag. So, that’s cute. It’s chic.”

Grand and understated still appears to be the aesthetic choice Hough and Mazur are following for her Season 33 hosting duties. The Bottega Veneta dress Hough favored for Monday’s episode seemingly coordinated with the “Soul Train” night theme, adding sparkles and a silhouette that harkened back to the disco era.
