Justin Timberlake Reportedly Arrested in the Hamptons
Justin Timberlake has been arrested in The Hamptons, new reports reveal.
The 43-year-old "Cry Me a River" crooner was picked up by the Sag Harbor Police Department on the night of Monday, June 17, after allegedly being caught getting behind the wheel while intoxicated.
Timberlake was taken into custody at the Sag Harbor Police station in New York, before being released without bail. He was arraigned on Tuesday, June 18, and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated, Us Weekly reports.
"The charge was a single count because he he refused the breath test,” his lawyer, Ed Burke, told Us Weekly. "Mr. Timberlake was also charged with two other court citations, running a stop sign and not traveling in the correct traffic lane."
A court date has been set for July 26.
As TMZ reported, Timberlake was meeting up with some friends at a hotel in Sag Harbor on Monday night. At around 12:30 a.m., the NSYNC alum is said to have returned to his car to head back to where he was staying, only to be pulled over shortly after he began driving.
Fans of the "Mirrors" crooner are likely hoping he can get the situation sorted out quickly, as he is currently in the midst of his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, with concert dates scheduled for later this week.
Timberlake is expected to perform a two-night run at the United Center in Chicago, Ill. on Friday June 21 and Saturday June 22, before he is set to return to New York to perform at Madison Square Garden for two nights next week.
It's currently unclear if Timberlake's arrest will affect the upcoming concert dates.
Parade has reached out to representatives for Timberlake and the Sag Harbor Police Department for comment.
