Justin Timberlake's Lawyer Speaks Out Following Hamptons Arrest

Justin Timberlake's lawyer has officially spoken out about the recent allegations against the former NSYNC member.

After the "Can't Stop the Feeling" singer was arrested in The Hamptons on Tuesday, June 18 for allegedly getting behind the wheel while intoxicated, his defense attorney, Edward Burke Jr., issued a statement to express their intention to fight the charge against Timberlake.

"[We] look forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations," Burke stated to TMZ, adding that his client "will have a lot to say at the appropriate time."

According to Burke, Timberlake, 43, is "currently awaiting full discovery from the DA's office."

But the "Cry Me a River" crooner has yet to publicly address his legal drama directly, after being arraigned and released from custody on Tuesday.

As revealed in a statement from the Sag Harbor Police Department, Timberlake "was observed operating a 2025 BMW southbound on Madison Street, failing to stop at a duly posted stop sign and failing to maintain his lane of travel."

"A traffic stop was initiated by a Police Officer from the Sag Harbor Village Police Department and upon investigation it was determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition," the statement continued.

Timberlake was then arrested and held overnight for arraignment in the morning, before being "released on his own recognizance" around 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

The Sag Harbor Police Department also concluded the statement by clarifying, "A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."

A court date has been set for July 26.
