To no one’s surprise, Kaavia James Wade had the sweetest montage of her and her big sister Zaya Wade to share on Instagram. And to even fewer people’s surprise, the transphobic trolls felt the need to flood the comments of this beautiful post with their bigoted BS.

In a recent post on “Kaavia’s” Instagram (Read: The account her parents Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade manage for her), the 5-year-old posted a video of her leaning into, and looking up to, her big sister in front of a horse stable. The two are so laid back in their t-shirts and jeans.

The montage then cuts to a stunning photo of the two of them in front of the Louvre. (!!!) From riding to Renoir! Kaavia is dressed in a tan dress with a poofy tulle skirt and vans. She looks up at her 17-year-old sister — who opted for shorts and a sweatshirt — and they both have huge smiles on their faces.

“Sister, sister ??,” Kaavia captioned the post that is set to “I’m Just a Kid.”

And of course, the homophobes had to run to their keyboards and misgender Zaya. We’re not even going to dignify the comments by sharing them here. Whatever you’re imagining they said about the transgender teen, you’re most likely spot on. Thankfully, sprinkled amidst the hate and the “jokes” about how the model “identifies” were some supportive comments.

“Some of you all need to identify as nice,” one person said.

“You can see the love between these two sisters. ????,” another added.

“Some of y’all need to ask yourself why you’re even following this page? Leaving rude and judgmental comments on this page is just weird. What are you trying to accomplish when you could just unfollow, or keep scrolling and mind your own broke business???.” And we’d like that follower to repeat themselves louder for the people in the back!

Dwyane Wade is the proud parent and caregiver to three other kids. Along with Zaya, he shares 22-year-old son Zaire with ex Siovaughn Funches, 10-year-old son Xiaver with ex Aja Metoyer, and he’s the legal guardian of his 21-year-old nephew Dahveon.

“Miss yall ????,” Zaire wrote on his sister’s post.

The Wade family is no stranger to dealing with internet hate, but Wade and Union have been supportive of Zaya from Day 1 — moving from Florida to California for Zaya’s physical safety and advocating so much for the LGBTQ+ community that they were honored by the NAACP with the President’s Award in 2023.

“I’ve sat back and watched how gracefully you have taken on the public scrutiny,” the NBA hall of famer told his daughter in his acceptance speech. “And even though it’s not easy, I watched you walk out of that house every morning as yourself. I admire how you’ve handled the ignorance in our world. I admire that you face every day.”

“To say that your village is proud of you is an understatement.”

These celeb parents are so proud of their LGBTQ kids.
