Kane Brown to Receive the Country Champion Award at the 2024 People's Choice Country Awards

The special award was given to Wynonna Judd at last year's inaugural PCCAs

The "Miles on It" singer, 30, will be honored with the country champion award at the upcoming 2024 People's Choice Country Awards at the iconic Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville later this month, NBC and Peacock announced Sept. 6.

"Since the beginning of his career, Kane Brown has ensured that his legacy will extend beyond music," said NBCUniversal Entertainment's executive vice president of live events and specials, Jen Neal, in a statement.

Neal continued, "His dedication to empowering and supporting younger generations is nothing short of inspiring, and we’re thrilled to honor him with the Country Champion Award."

At the inaugural PCCAs last year, the country champion award was given to Wynonna Judd.

Brown, 30, is among one of the top nominees at this year's PCCAs, where he's up for the people's artist of 2024, the male artist of 2024 and the male song of 2024 with "I Can Feel It," plus the crossover song of 2024, the music video of 2024 and the song of the year with the Marshmello collaboration "Miles on It."

He previously earned six nominations at the 2023 ceremony.

Another special PCCAs honor, the country icon award, will be given to Miranda Lambert at this year's show. She's also nominated for the female artist of 2024 and the female song of 2024 with "Wranglers."

Shania Twain will serve as host for the 2024 ceremony. "Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love," she said in a July statement. "I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans."

The Grammy winner added, "Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Giddy up!"

The 2024 People's Choice Country Awards air live on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT via NBC and Peacock.
