'Karate Kid' stars Ralph Macchio, William Zabka reunite in 'Cobra Kai' sequel series teaser (video)
Are you ready for this “Cobra Kai” teaser? Yes, sensei!
On Thursday, Entertainment Weekly revealed the first teaser for the “Karate Kid” sequel series and it looks like Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) have not spent the last three decades resolving their issues.
Apparently Johny’s life hasn’t been going so well since since they faced off at the All Valley Karate Tournament in the first movie, or met again in “Karate Kid Part II.” Whereas Daniel is the picture of stability as a car dealer and family man. So Johnny, who was a proud member of the titular dojo, thinks this will solve his problems.
“I just don’t know why you’d ever want to bring back Cobra Kai,” Daniel tells his high school enemy while they stare at each other across the renovated dojo.

Since Johnny is telling his new pupils “We are not trained to be merciful here. Mercy is for the weak,” it seems he has a different outlook on life than Daniel.
The series will center around Miguel Diaz (Xolo Maridue?a), who Johnny looks to mentor after he’s tortured by bullies, Johnny’s son Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), who doesn’t want to be anything like his old man.
Ed Asner will guest star as Johnny’s stepfather, Sid Weinberg. Courtney Henggeler will play Daniel’s wife and business partner, Amanda, and Mary Mouser takes on the role of their daughter, Samantha.
