“Contigo” interpolates Leona Lewis’ 2007 hit “Bleeding Love,” which was originally written by Jesse McCartney and One Republic’s Ryan Tedder. Karol G’s Spanish-language version becomes a club anthem thanks to Ti?sto.
Along with the music video, Karol G shared a short YouTube video she tagged with #KarolGContigo, encouraging fans to join in with their own versions.
“I am very excited to see what my fans will create inspired by my new song “Contigo!” Karol G said in a statement. “I can’t wait to see their interpretation of this track, I want to see them echoing the powerful message that I want to deliver with this song. I made this song to celebrate the joy of LOVE. I want to inspire you to take a chance on LOVE and show me what that means to you!”
