Duchess Meghan channels Princess Diana as the Queen gets emotional on Remembrance Sunday
In the wake of alleged rifts between Prince William and Prince Harry, and their respective wives, Duchess Kate of Cambridge and Duchess Meghan of Sussex, the four royals have reunited in public.
The royal family gathered Sunday for the annual Remembrance Day Service at The Cenotaph in London, a war memorial dedicated to the end of World War I on Nov. 11, 1918. They were all dressed in black for the somber occasion, which commemorates those who have lost their lives in conflicts.
Duchess Kate, who stood next to Queen Elizabeth II and Duchess Camilla of Cornwall on a balcony, wore a fitted black coat adorned with military-like embellishments. She accessorized her look with classic pearl earrings and a black fascinator with a veil.
The Queen – who donned several red paper poppies, a tradition of Remembrance Month – was overcome with emotion during the ceremony and wiped tears from her eyes.
Duchess Meghan appeared on a different balcony than the Queen and Kate, standing next to Duchess Sophie of Wessex and Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence.
Meghan opted for a wide-brimmed black hat and a black coat cinched with a chunky belt. Royal fans compared Meghan's look to Princess Diana's Remembrance Sunday attire in 1991.
Prince William and Prince Harry participated in the ceremony, laying wreaths during the annual Remembrance Sunday memorial.
All eyes were on the "reunion" of the two royal couples after tabloid speculation that the two households are feuding.
The last time the Fab Four were seen together was at the annual Trooping the Colour parade in June, where they gathered on the Buckingham Palace balcony to wave at crowds.
On Saturday, the royal family gathered for the annual Royal British Legion Festival of Remembrance at Royal Albert Hall.
Duchess Kate wore a boat-necked navy blue dress with long sleeves. She paired the look with a matching headband, tights and black pumps.
Meghan opted for a long-sleeved black dress with a belt. She wore her hair back in a sleek bun and paired the look with black pumps by Aquazzura.
The princes were matching in navy blue suits with striped ties. They also wore poppies on their lapels.
Other royals in attendance included the Queen; Charles, Prince of Wales; Duchess Camilla; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex; Countess Sophie and more.
Other guests included British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his partner Carrie Symonds.
November is Remembrance Month in Britain, when everyone wears a red paper poppy on their lapel and the royals, led by the queen, preside over ceremonies to honor Britain's war dead.
Earlier this week, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the 91st Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey, when hundreds of poppy-adorned crosses are planted on the grounds.
This was Harry's seventh time at the annual ceremony and the first time for Meghan.
Meghan wore a midnight blue alpaca coat by Sentaler, black knee-high boots and a dark blue Philip Treacy hat.
