On September 9, Kate Middleton gave her fans some long-awaited good news by sharing that she had completed her chemotherapy treatment for cancer. Of course, the news, which was delivered by Middleton herself in a video, was a relief for fans, let alone for her family. So, of course, it’s no surprise that her husband Prince William was right by her side during their first public appearance since on Oct. 10.

Together, Middleton and William visited the Southport Community Centre to pay their respects to the victims of a mass stabbing that took place in July.

“We continue to stand with everyone in Southport,” the royal couple wrote on social media of their outing. “Meeting the community today has been a powerful reminder of the importance of supporting one another in the wake of unimaginable tragedy. You will remain in our thoughts and prayers.”

And in addition to shining a light on this tragic event, and shining a spotlight on its young victims Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, William and Middleton showed they’re truly a united front. For the occasion, they coordinated in matching looks.

While William, still sporting his stylish beard, wore a dark gray suit, a white button-down, a maroon tie and a matching sweater, Middleton also included a pop of maroon in their polka dot blouse that peaked from her brown jacket. William’s brown shoes also gave a nod to Middleton’s look. Color-coordination at its finest!

“As the summer comes to an end, I cannot tell you what a relief it is to have finally completed my chemotherapy treatment,” the Princess of Wales wrote on Instagram. “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown.”

“I am however looking forward to being back at work and undertaking a few more public engagements in the coming months when I can,” she continued. “Despite all that has gone before I enter this new phase of recovery with a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life.”

“William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time,” she ended. “Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling.”

With everything she’s gone through, we’re beyond thrilled see to Middleton back to work after treatment – especially with William right by her side for support!
