A major royal memo may be on the way.

According to a new report, Kate Middleton could potentially address her mysterious disappearance from the public eye next month.

“They are at their most open when out interacting with members of the public and I can see a world in which the princess might discuss her recovery out on engagements,” a royal insider told The Times of London on Saturday. “If she was going to do it, that’s how she would do it.”

The insider also stated that the couple “will want to be clear and more open but they’ll do it when they feel ready.”

The friend also added that they “would expect that to be her instinct and it will be her call. They’re not going to be rushed.”

“In Kate’s case, there is almost nobody else in the world whose face, body, clothes are more judged than hers,” the source — who claims to have known both William, 41, and Middleton, 42, since they both attended St. Andrews University — added.

“So it’s entirely right for them not to want to be drawn into a game about what is going on with her health,” they said. “What is happening is exactly what they said would happen — she would spend two weeks in hospital and be back after Easter. So what if they haven’t pushed her out there to wave from the back of a car? She is not a show pony.”

According to the university friend, William is fulfilling the promise he made to Carole and Michael Middleton in 2010 to protect her to the best of his ability.

“William has always made it clear he wants to shield his family and his friends from the madness of some media where he can,” the friend said. “He is approaching this from his desire to protect Kate and his family and not get drawn into the media and social media craziness.”

“Kate is smart, tough, resilient and has good common sense,” they continued. “They will keep their cool heads over it. The public should leave her to recover in peace and leave William to do both his job as the Prince of Wales and his job of looking after his wife and his family as best he can.”

The Times also reported that Middleton, who underwent abdominal surgery in January, was reportedly “devastated” that several media outlets yanked a photo of herself and her three children celebrating Mother’s Day in the UK after several outlets claimed the photo had been “manipulated.”

In the photo — which features Middleton, Prince George, 10, Prince Louis, 5, and Princess Charlotte, 8 — the future queen can be seen without her wedding ring and a portion of Charlotte’s wrist seems to be missing from under the chopped-off sleeve of her cardigan.

The Princess of Wales later issued an apology for posting the photograph.

“Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused,” she posted on X (formerly Twitter).

Since the debacle, France’s AFP news agency’s global news director Phil Chetwynd stated that Kensington Palace cannot be a “trusted source” of information.

Since Middleton’s disappearance, several conspiracy theories — including one that she is in a coma and that William left her for his alleged mistress Lady Rose Hanbury — have continued to swirl.

Earlier this month, speculation that the princess would be returning to her royal duties was further fueled when the British Army announced that she’d participate in the Colonel’s Review on June 8.

However, Middleton’s name was quietly removed from the site after Kensington Palace claimed they weren’t consulted about her appearance.
