Kate Middleton not pressuring herself to see anyone amid cancer battle: ‘Doesn’t care truly what anyone thinks’
Kate Middleton is taking her cancer battle one day at a time, according to a new report.
The Princess of Wales, 42, has remained largely out of the spotlight since announcing her cancer diagnosis to the world in March.
And while she hasn’t made an official public appearance since December 2023, sources close to the Princess claim that she’s prioritizing her treatment process behind closed doors.
“Kate’s recovery is a one day-at-a-time thing,” an insider told Life & Style.
“She’s not putting any pressure on herself to do anything or see anyone because deadlines in a situation like this can make the recovery way more stressful. She doesn’t care truly what anyone thinks.”
The mom of three’s time at home has allowed her to spend more time with her three children — Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
“She’s trying to make life as normal for her kids as possible,” the source said. “Kate spends time resting when they’re at school, so she can be the most upbeat version of herself when the children are at home.”
The Princess has reportedly been extremely diligent about her medical appointments, and even shows up early to ensure she’s on top of things.
“She’s just uber focused on getting better,” the insider noted. “William worries, but she reassures him it’s all going to be OK. She even jokes about all the money she’s saving on her wardrobe by skipping out on royal events.”
The insider told the outlet that Middleton is going to be focusing on her kids this summer.
“Kate feels horrible that they’ve been so worried about her, and she’s making sure they each get to pick a special activity for them all to do together,” they add.
And while her home life seems to be as strong as can be — especially after insiders said that she and William are now “closer than ever” — the same can’t be said for her royal duties at this time.
A source claimed this week that Princess Catherine “may never come back in the role that people saw her in before.”
The insider added that she’s currently “re-evaluating what she’s going to be able to take on when she comes back” after undergoing preventive chemotherapy treatment following an undisclosed cancer diagnosis.
The report comes just weeks after a source claimed that Princess Catherine may not appear publicly as a working royal for the rest of the year.
