Kate Middleton & Prince William Pack on the PDA in a Heartwarming Update Video
Kate Middleton decided that her comeback was going to be a new chapter for her. On Monday, Sept. 9, the Princess of Wales released a romantic look at her family life with Prince William and their three children, Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6 — and the royal couple packed on the PDA.
The well-produced video was highlighting the end of her cancer treatment, along with a personal view of her loved ones who supported her throughout her journey. (You can see the video here.) “The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family,” she narrated the film as images of the royal family peppered the screen. “Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown. The cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you.”

About 30 seconds into the clip, William is seen patting his wife’s hand as she leans her head on his shoulder for support. They look off into the distance in nature, which has brought them much comfort during the difficult year. Kate talked about the “new perspective on everything” which might include the couple’s marriage, which has sometimes been fraught with rumors behind palace walls. “William and Kate seem like a different couple! They used to be more reserved,” an insider shared with Us Weekly in July. “But now, they can’t help but look at each other and smile.”
That rekindled love was evident in the film created by Will Warr. As the clip went on, Kate added, “This time has above all reminded William and me to reflect and be grateful for the simple yet important things in life, which so many of us often take for granted. Of simply loving and being loved.” The couple, who rarely show PDA in public, unlike Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, hold hands and snuggle multiple times during the clip — it’s lovely to see the genuine warmth between them.
Prince William stepped up his parental duties while Kate was undergoing chemotherapy and it’s clear she appreciates the additional time he spent at home. It “strengthened their bond,” according to the Us Weekly source, who praised William for being “so devoted to Kate and their family” during this challenging time. “Kate loves celebrating him,” they continued. “They are just so in love.”
Kate shared in the video that she has emerged with “a renewed sense of hope and appreciation of life” and it makes us look forward to the couple’s very sweet second chapter.
