Kate Middleton Is Reportedly Ready to Change How Her Children Celebrate Their Royal Christmas
It seems that Catherine, Princess of Wales, better known as Kate Middleton, is trying to change how the royals celebrate Christmas this year, especially for her and Prince William’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The typical royal Christmas involves opening gifts on Christmas Eve, doing a bunch of royal events, and then going to church on Christmas Day. It’s been like that for decades, but apparently, Kate may be changing that this year.
Insiders told the Daily Beast via MSN that Kate intends to put more of a “middle-class flavor” to their holiday celebration. They said, “It will be a quieter Christmas than last year, but the question is, how quiet? Usually, everyone knows what bits they are invited to by now. This year, it’s just wait and see.”

Now, their Boxing Day shooting party and Christmas Church will go as usual, but there will be more “eating chocolate, movie marathons,” and more. And yknow the rule about opening gifts on Christmas Eve? Well, Kate allegedly wants to abolish that, as well as show fans a glimpse into their Christmas celebration.
“A little social media of the family eating chocolate and watching TV would be a very effective way of showing how normal Christmas is at Anmer Hall compared to what we hear about at Sandringham,” the source added, also talking about how changing the Eve traditions are “high on Kate’s list of things to change.”
William was “enthusiastic about embracing Kate‘s much more normal conception of Christmas,” they added. “It’s always been a slightly covert, rival Christmas party at their house, but it’s going to be much more obvious this year. If they post pictures, it’ll be an official coup attempt.”
For those who don’t know, William and Kate have been together on and off since 2003.
Since their nuptials, they have since welcomed three children named Prince George, born in July 2013, Charlotte, born in May 2015, and Louis, born in April 2018.
