Kate Middleton worried over Beatrice, Eugenie forming an ‘alliance’ with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: expert
Kate Middleton is “worried” over how close Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are getting to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a royal expert has claimed.
The Princess of Wales, 42, is reportedly bothered by the “alliance” the daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson have formed with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“For William and Kate, an alliance between Harry and Meghan and Beatrice and Eugenie is a huge worry,” royal expert and author Tom Quinn told the Mirror.
“Although Harry and Meghan have little sympathy for Prince Andrew, they’ve kept in regular contact with Beatrice and Eugenie, who have always been free of any associations with Meghan’s angry, bitter time in the UK.”
Quinn believes Princess Catherine fears that Beatrice and Eugenie have more in common with the Sussexes as nonworking royals.
“They sense that Beatrice and Eugenie feel that, as virtual outcasts themselves, they have far more in common with Harry and Meghan than with any other part of the family,” Quinn added.
“The situation is made worse by the fact that the senior royals’ main asset — Kate herself — is effectively out of action while she continues her treatment for cancer.”
Harry, 39, has remained close to Eugenie, 34, since he and Markle quit royal life in 2020.
Eugenie has even visited the Sussexes in the US, with the pair seen watching the Super Bowl together back in 2022.
She was also the only figure from the royal family to make an appearance in his Netflix docuseries “Harry & Meghan.”
And at King Charles’ coronation on May 6 last year, Harry was seen staying close to his cousins and their respective husbands at Westminster Abbey.
Harry was seen walking into the 1,000-year-old church with Beatrice, her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, as well as Eugenie and her husband, Jack Brooksbank.
The father of two then took his place in the third row next to the former Casamigos brand ambassador, 38, and Princess Alexandra.
Quinn’s comments come days after William — the heir to the throne — invited his cousins to a garden party at Buckingham Palace.
After making an appearance at the soirée, Princess Eugenie issued a statement highlighting the importance of “supporting family.”
The event was also attended by her sister, Princess Beatrice, Zara Tindall and Mike Tindall.
