Kate Winslet isn’t holding back.

The 48-year-old recently revealed that she has enhanced her sex life by undergoing testosterone replacement therapy.

Winslet, who tied the knot with her husband Edward Abel Smith in 2012, advised a listener on the “How To Fail” podcast Friday after they asked for tips on how to rediscover their sex drive.

The “Titanic” star admitted that she feels “sexy” again following the treatment, known as TRT, which is prescription-based and helps restore testosterone levels, per the Mayo Clinic.

Winslet encouraged women who have seen their libido dip in recent times to check their testosterone levels as she believes that could be the culprit to a low sex drive.

“Sometimes women have a real dip in libido because there might be stuff going on with their thyroid,” she explained. “There could also be stuff going on with your level of testosterone.”

Although some might think the treatment is predominantly for men, Winslet explained that’s not the case.

“A lot of people don’t know this but women have testosterone in their body, when it runs out, like eggs, it’s gone, and once it’s gone you have to replace it and that is something that can be done and you’ll feel sexy again,” confessed Winslet.“I know.”

The “Mare of Easttown” star continued to offer guidance to the female caller, suggesting that she has her “thyroid levels checked.”

“And your testosterone levels checked well because those things could have a direct impact on how you’re actuallyfeeling,” Winslet noted.

The Hollywood icon made it clear that women shouldn’t blame themselves for the changes they experience.

“It’s not your fault, our bodies are weird and they behave in strange ways especially as we get older,” Winslet said. “So there could be a dip in those hormonal levels for you that is contributing much more than you think to how you’re feeling about having sex with your boyfriend, so I would definitely go ahead and do that.”

Meanwhile, the British actress also believes women get ‘sexier’ as they age.

When asked how she feels about her body today, Winslet exclaimed: “I’m great with it – I think I look flipping amazing. We have to own it, this is the thing.”

“I think women as they get older get juicier and sexier and more embedded in their truth of who they are and more powerful, more able to walk through the world and care less and that is an empowering thing,” Winslet told host Elizabeth Day. “I say to my friends all the time ‘you look amazing, you look great.’”

Winslet and Smith began dating in 2011 and married just a year later.

“He didn’t particularly plan on meeting and marrying a woman who is in the public eye and therefore having been so judged,” she told The New York Times of her husband in 2021, noting, “He’s vegan, does yoga, breath work and cold water swims.”
