It was a cheeky choice for Disney.

The first episode of “Agatha All Along,” now streaming on Disney+, has one of the only instances of nudity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

During one scene, Agatha (Kathryn Hahn) runs around without clothing, while her bare rear end can be seen on-screen — shocking in the notoriously prudish, buttoned-up world of Marvel.

It’s the only derriere shot in the 16 years since the MCU kicked off with “Iron Man” in 2008, aside from a brief view of Chris Hemsworth’s bottom in the 2022 movie “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

“Agatha All Along” creator Jac Schaeffer told TV Line on Thursday that Marvel chief Kevin Feige was initially not enthusiastically onboard with the scene. He responded to the idea: “Really?”

Schaeffer said that the scene was originally written with Agatha emerging naked from a spell Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) cast on her and then putting on a robe.

“And Kathryn came to me and was like, ‘Would Agatha stop to get a robe? I feel like she would go out there naked,’” she recalled, adding that the actress “was so up for it.”

Feige was not. However, the Marvel president ultimately signed off on it.

The scene “is so firmly based in character. It is not exploitative; it is not sexual,” Schaeffer told the outlet.

She added, “It is about this witch and what her priorities are. And in this moment, she needs answers and she doesn’t care if she’s naked or not. So yeah, it’s a point of pride for us.”

“Agatha All Along” is a spinoff of the MCU show “WandaVision,” which aired in 2021 starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany. The show followed Wanda and Vision (Bettany) living in suburbia following the events of the 2019 movie “Avengers: Endgame.”

Agatha Harkness first appeared on-screen in that show. She was a witch who was masquerading as Agnes, Wanda’s nosy neighbor.

“Agatha All Along” is the 11th show in the MCU, among them “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” starring Wyatt Russell and Anthony Mackie, and “Loki,” starring Tom Hiddleston.

The show picks up after the events of “WandaVision,” when Agatha has escaped suburbia and forms a new coven of witches. Aubrey Plaza co-stars.

“I do love a cackle,” Hahn told The Post.

“I was so happy they let me. I was like, ‘I’ve got to cackle, you guys, come on. I know it’s on the nose, but we’ve got to have a witch that cackles.’”
