Kathryn Hahn Says She “Had a Blast” Filming Agatha All Along
The next series from Marvel Studios brings together Kathryn Hahn, Patti LuPone, and Aubrey Plaza for Agatha All Along, where Hahn and Plaza lead the MCU's coven as a spell-bound Agatha Harkness regains freedom thanks to help from a mysterious teen.
Joining Hahn, LuPone and Plaza in the cast are Paul Adelstein, Joe Locke, Sasheer Zamata, Ali Ahn, and Okwui Okpokwasili for the series, which debuts on Disney+ next week.
To celebrate the occasion, Disney hosted a Special Screening of the series in London, England, with cast members Kathryn Hahn and Joe Locke in attendance, alongside the series' head writer, Jac Schaeffer.
Hahn answered press questions on the carpet, revealing to Discussing Film that she "had a blast" filming the series and couldn't have anticipated the reaction so far.
"You never know how anything's gonna land," Hahn said, "and I certainly had no idea that this was in my future at all, so this is all huge."
When asked by Discussing Film about her first day on set for Agatha All Along, Hahn said, "It finally became very real" and that "it was kind of a relief because it was just the feeling of getting back to work, not feeling pressure."
Three-time Emmy-nominee Hahn first appeared as Agatha Harkness in Marvel's WandaVision, which hit Disney+ in 2021, and the character quickly became a fan favorite.
"This was another very special gig with a character that I love so so much," Hahn told Discussing Film, "and so once you started, once you were on the train, all of that extra noise goes away."
Agatha All Along hits Disney+ on September 18.
