Kathy Bates Is ‘Serving’ in ‘Absolutely Incredible’ Dress at the 2024 Emmy Awards
Kathy Bates looked simply stunning as she arrived to pose on the red carpet at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday, Sept. 15.
The Matlock star looked like pure elegance as she showed off her look for the evening. She wore a floor-length deep purple dress that appeared black due to the delicate layer of beads woven over the fabric. The beads caught the light as she turned for the cameras, smiling at the photographers gathered to snap her picture as she held the strap of a small and colorful purse in her right hand.
Her outfit accentuated the 76-year-old’s slim figure, which she recently addressed in an interview with Variety. As the Academy Award winner told the magazine, she lost about 100 pounds in the last six to seven years, and now believes she hasn’t “been this slim since I was in college.” The transformation left Bates with “a tremendous amount of energy,” she added.

“She’s SERVING,” one person tweeted as another declared she “looks so wonderful.”

Bates, a two-time Emmy Award winner herself, is not nominated for any trophies at this year’s awards show, taking place at the Peacock Theater at L.A. LIVE in Los Angeles, Calif. However, she is among the stars slated to present at the ceremony as Eugene Levy and his son, Dan, handle the main hosting duties.
