Kathy Griffin says she doesn't regret Trump photo despite backlash, death threats
Despite continued backlash, Kathy Griffin says she doesn't regret posing for a photo in May 2017 holding a mock "decapitated" head of President Donald Trump.
The comedian shared her feelings on the now infamous photo, which got her fired from CNN among other jobs, during an interview with CBS Sunday Morning's Luke Burbank Sunday.
"I'm Hanoi Jane, you know? I get it. This photo is gonna be with me forever, no matter what I do," she said, before revealing that she continues to get "online and in-person" death threats.
"I was in London a month ago and I had a driver who took myself and my assistant from London Heathrow to the hotel, and he recognized me from the photo and he said that he was from Morocco and that if we were in Morocco he would cut my tongue off," she said. "So, that was a long drive!"

Despite the threats, Griffin explained why she wouldn't go back and change the past.
"I've learned so much. I think a lot of people would love it if I said, 'Oh, I wish I had never taken that picture. I wish I had never cursed. I wish I had never made this comment or that comment,' " she said. "But the most important thing that I hope people see is that, long after I kick the bucket, they see the crazy red-haired lady didn't go down."
