How Kathy Hilton Helped Mary Cosby & Angie Katsanevas Become "Besties" After Season 4 Drama
Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas' relationship has taken an unlikely turn, thanks in part to ...Kathy Hilton?
On Season 4 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary and Angie weren't exactly BFFs. Who can forget Mary playfully asking in an interview confessional at the time, "Who is Angie?!"
However, as Mary and Angie explain in the video above, things have changed.
After the two arrive to Lisa Barlow's party together (donning matching accessories!) in the above preview of RHOSLC's Season 5 premiere, Mary explains in a confessional, "I feel like life is weird...She gained my trust, and I can't really tell you where it happened."
In her own confessional, Angie also reflects on the strange turn of events. "How did we go from, 'Who's Angie?' to us showing up to a party in matching purses?"
Angie then adds some more background on the situation, saying that after she told Mary at the RHOSLC Season 4 reunion she had "lipstick on [her] teeth," Mary seemed to open up to her in a different way, later inviting her to Kathy Hilton's glamorous Christmas party.
Now? They're "besties."
"Mary is soft on the inside, and she doesn't show that side to a lot of people," Angie continues in her interview. "I'm honored that she's chosen to share that side of herself with me."

"She brings a realness," Mary also states about her new BFF. "[She's] like a genuine person that really cares about me."
As Angie has previously revealed, it took a lot of work to get to this point. On an October 2023 episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, a virtual audience member asked Angie for an update on her relationship with Mary.
"I did my best. I tried. I tried multiple times through the season," she said at the time. "I didn't really feel like I made any headway with Mary."
Andy chimed in to say, "I'm gonna take a stab and say you haven't gotten closer," which Angie confirmed.
"No, we have not," she said. "Absolutely not. I did my best, and I'm pulling back...I don't know how to connect with Mary."
