Katt Williams Blasts Celebs Taking “F**ked Up” Ozempic For Weight Loss
Katt Williams is not a fan of Ozempic, and considers the drug to be “f**ked up.”
During his show on Friday (Mar. 1), the comedian blasted celebrities who are taking the diabetes medication for weight loss.
“They say Ozempic is like no other drug in the universe,” Williams told the crowd. “Ozempic don’t play by no rules.” He then got more direct and addressed Oprah and Sharon Osbourne.
“They say Oprah took so much, that Gayle [King] lost 10 pounds,” the 52-year-old teased. He later joked about a woman who weighed 126 pounds, but lost 131 pounds on Ozempic, saying, “she had to get a few pounds from her family and friends.”
Williams, however, praised Osbourne for being honest about the drug.
“Sharon Osbourne [is] the only one who has the guts to come out and say ‘this is f***** up,'” he shared.
The British TV personality used Ozempic to lose weight, but revealed she stopped taking it back in February after her weight dangerously dropped under 100 pounds. “You can lose so much weight, and it’s easy to become addicted to that, which is very dangerous,” she told The Guardian. “I couldn’t stop losing weight, and now I’ve lost 42 pounds, and I can’t afford to lose any more.”
Oprah never revealed the name of her weight-loss medication, but spoke with PEOPLE about her usage.
“I now use it as I feel I need it, as a tool to manage not yo-yoing,” she explained. “The fact that there’s a medically approved prescription for managing weight and staying healthier, in my lifetime, feels like relief, like redemption, like a gift, and not something to hide behind and once again be ridiculed for. I’m absolutely done with the shaming from other people and particularly myself.”
Just months after opening up about the weight-loss medication, Oprah parted ways with Weight Watchers.
