Keira Knightley Turned Heads at Her First Public Appearance in Over a Year
This is not a drill: Keira Knightley is back in the public eye, and is turning heads with this beautiful appearance.
In case you missed it, on June 19, Knightley made an ultra-rare public appearance at the opening of the new exhibition “Imaginary Conversations: An ERDEM Collection Inspired by Duchess Deborah.” The event, sponsored by FARFETCH, was held at the Chatsworth House, also known as the place they filmed Pride and Prejudice. Along with Knightley, her husband James Righton was in attendance (and played drums for the evening), along with star Jenna Coleman.

And for the event, Knightly looked oh-so-gorgeous and ethereal in an Erdem look. You can see the photos below:
In the photos, we can see Knightley looking so stunning as she rocks a sheer, sparkling teal dress over flowing black pants, black flats, and black tulle detailing throughout. She combined two classic looks: ultra-sparkly and ethereal with classic black accessories. This is truly the best way to return to the public eye.
For those who don’t know, the last time Knightley was at a public event was all the back in May 2023, when she attended “A Night On The Tiles” with British artist Martha Freud and The Wick for London Craft Week at Claridge’s ArtSpace Café. Since then, she’s mostly stayed out of the public eye and focused on her career, family, and more.
In a previous interview with The Talks, Knightley discussed how she’s stopped caring about the random backlash as she’s gotten older, focusing on doing what makes her happy. She said, “I learned you can say nothing, you can be perfectly smiling, wearing a perfectly nice dress at the opening of a charity and people can still despise you for it.”
And when it comes to her iconic looks, when speaking with British Vogue, Knightley revealed that her go-to evening makeup is a classic smokey-eye. “I am 100 percent more of a smoky-eye girl than I am a lip girl,” she said. “…normally it’s a smoky eye, black liner in the lash line, and lots of mascara. Always. Top and bottom.”
