Keith Urban Makes History With Electric Performance at 2024 CMT Music Awards

It's safe to say Keith Urban put on quite the show at the 2024 CMT Music Awards.
The country crooner, 56, brought down the house at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, on Sun., April 7, while giving an energetic performance of his new single, "Straight Line," on the prestigious awards show stage.
Sunday's performance marks Urban's 20th time performing at the CMT Music Awards, which is more than any other artist in the awards show's history. It's also the first time Urban has performed "Straight Line" for a live TV audience.

The singer's performance was nothing short of electric, and the fans were certainly loving it. Some even rushed to the internet during the show to praise Urban for the incredible show he put on.
"Woohoo @KeithUrban you blew the rooftop off if you’re performance of 'Straight Line,'" one adoring fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
"Anything this man sings is amazing!!" someone else gushed, as another fan rejoiced while tweeting, "Finally @KeithUrban is back on our TV screens."

Urban's new lively country tune dropped in February as the lead single off of his upcoming 12th studio album, which he has yet to share the title of. Last month, he released "Messed Up As Me," another track from what will be his first new album release since 2020.
While announcing the release of "Straight Line" on Instagram, Urban said he was "jonesing" to share the upcoming album with his fans. He ultimately decided to release the lead single because he believes "it represents an energy and spirit that became a through line of the whole record."
"I'm gonna cover a lot of themes, emotions and vibes on this album, but a very human spirit runs through them all," he teased further.
And after Sunday's performance, fans are probably counting down the days until Urban drops the rest of the album!
