Kelly Clarkson Announces Big News for 'Kellyoke' Fans
Fans asked, and Kelly Clarkson listened.
The powerhouse singer and daytime talk show host had some big news to share with her fans on Thursday, Aug. 8, when she announced an exciting new update about her "Kellyoke" performances.
The flawless covers from the karaoke or "Kellyoke" segment of the The Kelly Clarkson Show never fail to blow her fans away, and now listeners will be able to hear Clarkson's performances in a while new setting.
As revealed by the "Because of You" songstress via Instagram on Thursday, her Kellyoke covers will now be available on the Sirius XM radio station, the Kelly Clarkson Connection—and it's safe to say that fans are delighted.
"OMG THIS IS INCREDIBLE! ??" one Instagram user celebrated in the comments.
"FINALLY ????????????" another fan rejoiced.
In the audio clip of Clarkson announcing the good news, she called the requests for Kellyoke covers to be formally released as the "one thing I get asked the most."
Calling her Sirius XM station the "perfect place," to host her covers, the American Idol alum said the live performances will be "mixed and mastered" for the radio, meaning that her voice will probably sound even more flawless than usual—if that's even possible.
"Every cover you sing sounds better than the original," one very pleased fan wrote under Thursday's post. "There are songs I didn't even like but then we get a Kelly Clarkson version and suddenly I like it. You're a vocal magician!"
And while plenty of fans were certainly excited about the news, many of Clarkson's followers are still hoping the Kellyoke covers will be released on the major music streaming platforms.
Tons of commenters continued to beg Clarkson to release her Kellyoke covers on Spotify and Apple Music, especially those who don't live in the United States and can't access the Sirius XM station from other countries.
"We need those on Spotify for your international fans, pretty please!!! ????" one person implored, while others voiced hopes that the covers will be released on vinyl one day.
Baby steps, people!
