Kelly Clarkson Dazzles With ‘Awesome’ Kellyoke Cover of Miley Cyrus Song That Fans Have ‘Been Waiting For’
Kelly Clarkson busted out a performance of a song that some fans said they were “waiting” for her to put her spin on during a recent “Kellyoke” segment of her daytime talk show.
The American Idol alum has wowed fans with dozens of covers for several years now, never failing to impress with her version of popular hits and deep cuts alike. For her latest “Kellyoke” segment on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the “Since U Been Gone” singer performed a newer hit that recently earned Miley Cyrus her first-ever Grammy.
Wearing a Stevie Nicks T-shirt and long purple skirt, Clarkson, 42, belted out the lyrics to “Flowers” from Cyrus’ 2023 album Endless Summer Vacation. Clarkson’s NBC show later shared a clip from the performance on Instagram on Friday, June 21. The video drew dozens of reactions from fans who agreed that the “Behind These Hazel Eyes” singer “could sing the phone book and it would be amazing!”
“Everything" that Clarkson sings she makes "her own ????,” one fan wrote, adding that the “Stronger” singer is “crazy talented.”

After watching the performance, one fan suggested Clarkson consider a musical collaboration with the former Disney Channel star. While tagging Clarkson’s show in their comment, the Instagram user wrote, "we want a duet with Miley! ??.”
Cyrus’ original song quickly became a hit among fans and critics alike upon its release. The 31-year-old Hannah Montana alum won her first two Grammys for “Flowers” in the Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance categories at the 2024 Grammy Awards, where she also performed the song live.
