Kelly Clarkson Might Be Pushed Back Into the Dating Scene by This A-List Country Couple
Ever since Kelly Clarkson divorced Brandon Blackstock in 2022, fans have been eager to see the daytime talk show host jump back into the dating pool. She has been pretty clear that she wasn’t ready and was enjoying time prioritizing herself, but there are two A-list country stars who are reportedly ready to give her a little push.
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood apparently want to play matchmaker and set their 42-year-old friend up with the man of her dreams. “They know a lot of eligible men in the music world, both in Nashville and New York, where Kelly shoots her talk show and spends a lot of her time,” an insider told Life & Style. “They hate to think of Kelly spending the prime of her life alone.” Plus, Garth and Yearwood know a thing or two about love, having been married almost 20 years.

Now, let’s get one thing straight, Clarkson doesn’t need a man to complete her life, she’s doing just fine on her own. In May, she admitted to guest Tiffany Haddish that she’s rather “nervous” and “awkward” in her post-divorce dating life. “I don’t think I’ve dated a lot. I think that’s the thing,” Clarkson explained. ”Maybe I just haven’t done it enough.” But she gave an authentic reason to Hoda Kotb in March on The Kelly Clarkson Show about why she loves her alone time right now.
“I am really loving not having a man in my life,” the “Since U Been Gone” singer said. “It’s just too hard, it’s too much. There are all the jobs, plus the kids, plus being present for the kids while you’re there.” Clarkson is raising her two children, River, 9, and Remington, 7, in New York City after making a “fresh start” move to the East Coast last year. She seems to be relishing in her Manhattan life, and that’s why dating isn’t a priority right now.
However, Yearwood and Garter are reportedly ready whenever Clarkson is. The Life & Style source emphasized that they “aren’t being pushy about it,” though. “They’re letting Kelly know the offer is there,” the insider noted. “They want her to be as happy as they are!” When Clarkson is ready to find love, we have no doubt she will have a long list of romantic suitors lining up.
