Kelly Clarkson's Soulful New Cover Leaves Original Singer ‘Sobbing’

Kelly Clarkson brought one singer-songwriter to tears after covering one of their songs during the "Kellyoke" segment of her award-winning talk show.
On Wednesday, April 10, the Grammy winner and her music director, Jason Halbert, performed a soulful rendition of "Some Things I'll Never Know" by the artist known pseudonymously as Teddy Swims.
Clarkson, who turns 42 later this month, then shared a clip of their cover on the official Instagram page of her show, writing in the caption: "We love @teddyswims #Kellyoke ??."
As luck would have it, the 31-year-old artist saw her message, taking to the comments with an emotional response. "Omg !!!!!" he wrote. "I’m sobbing."
Fans were just as touched, begging the original singer-songwriter to get in touch with Clarkson so they could record together. After all, this is the third song of his that she's covered, previously performing a duet of "Lose Control" and her version of "Dose" last month.
"@teddyswims plz dear god create art together," one top-liked reply read.
"PLEASE can we have a studio recorded version of your Lose Control duet ?????? We are all dying for it and I'm not kidding.. @teddyswims @kellyclarksonshow @kellyclarkson," a second begged.
"@teddyswims @kellyclarkson DUET. NOW," a third demanded. "This isn’t a request but more of a prophecy fulfilled. Your fans desire it. The universe requires it. From one Jawjah boy to another. ????."
The pleas for a duet weren't exclusive to Instagram, as many took to the comments of Clarkson's YouTube video to ask the same.
"I love the emotion she puts into the song," one YouTuber wrote. "I need a new kelly-teddy duet!!!"
"Kelly Clarkson could make a duet with Teddy Swims," another suggested. "beautiful song."
"Hoping for a Teddy-Kelly collaboration," a third confessed.
