Kelly Hughes Joins MGM+ As Head Of Marketing

MGM+ has brought on Kelly Hughes as head of marketing.

Most recently vice president, consumer & content marketing at Peacock, Hughes oversees brand, media, and program marketing for MGM+ originals. She’s also responsible for driving consumer awareness and engagement through integrated communication plans, creative advertising, and strategic collaboration with Amazon’s cross-functional teams. She reports into Michael Wright, head of MGM+, who announced the hire in a memo to staff. Hughes began her new role on August 26.

During her time at Peacock, Hughes was instrumental in launching the streaming service, and leading comprehensive marketing campaigns for originals including Bel-AirPoker FaceGirls5evaThe Best Man: The Final ChaptersThe Traitors, Saved by the Bell, and Twisted Metal. Previously, Hughes was the marketing director, original series at Netflix where she spearheaded media and marketing campaigns for Stranger Things, Ozark, GLOW, and Queer Eye.

We have just taken a significant step to raise awareness for MGM+ and its uniquely entertaining, cinematic, sophisticated, and relevant “TV for Movie Lovers” content we are so proud to showcase.
I am thrilled to announce that Kelly Hughes, a dynamic and creative marketing leader with an extremely impressive track record of executing high-impact, global television marketing campaigns, has joined us as head of marketing, reporting into me. In this newly created role, Kelly will oversee brand, media, and program marketing for MGM+ originals and will be responsible for driving consumer awareness and engagement through integrated communication plans, creative advertising, and strategic collaboration with Amazon’s cross-functional teams.
