Kelly Osbourne's Boyfriend Sid Wilson Sends Cautionary Message After Hospitalization: 'My Face Is Basically Melted'

Sid Wilson of Slipknot, also known as Kelly Osbourne's beau, is issuing a strong PSA after suffering serious burns in an at-home accident.

The musician spoke to Fox News Digital after a bonfire exploded in his face over the weekend, the aftermath of which he documented on social media as he arrived in one emergency room with burns across his arm and head before being transferred to another facility with better burn care.

"Don’t f—k around with fire," he said first and foremost, warning fans, "It’s going to win every time."

Wilson's "whole right arm is bandaged up," along with "half of [his] left arm," and his "face is basically melted from nose down," but the swelling he experienced has already decreased.

"I’ve had better days, I guess, but I’m alive, so I’m doing good," he added. The 47-year-old told the publication he was working with a wood burn pile at his home in Iowa, where he wasn't as careful as he should've been, by his own admission.

"A few nights ago, I lit it and let it burn down. So, the next day, I went to check it to see, you know, how much was left, if anything. And there was a certain amount of debris around the side still left, so I, like a dummy, [did] what I'm not supposed to do, but I added some gas to it."

He removed the gas can from the area and looked for a long branch to light it with, but his "lack of patience got the better of [him]." He thought, "...screw it. I'll be all right, you know?" and just lit it by hand. But "it was really humid out so there was still a lot of vapors lingering around in there, and it just … woof. Exploded."

The father of one "flew up" to the couple's home on his four-wheeler to get his family and then he drove the trio to urgent care before being transferred to a larger hospital in Des Moines, where he said he was able to finally "just kind of, like, let go of whatever it was I was holding onto to get me through it."

"When stuff like that happens, you got to go into, like, a mode where it's like, you know, get yourself where you need to be before your body shuts down," he explained.

There he received painkillers, making his memory of the emergency visit a little fuzzy, so Osbourne explained that they bandaged his wounds with temporary dressings before transferring him to a specialty center in Iowa City, two hours away.

After just one night, he was discharged to home, where Osbourne continued his care by changing his dressings, with Wilson joking online that she was "having the Florence Nightingale effect on [him]."

The couple agreed that, all things considered, Wilson has "a pretty good attitude about it."

"I’m not going to let it get me depressed," he said, calling the "hardest part" of the whole thing the fact that he "feel[s] stupid for doing it."

"It's like going, like, ‘Oh, man, I really learned that the hard way.’ I’ve got to make sure I just slow down sometimes and really examine the situation before I just dive in headfirst."

Wilson goes in for his next appointment later this week but doesn't believe he'll require surgery or skin grafts for the burns.

He's also planning on going on with the show Slipknot has scheduled for Sept. 1 in Pryor, Oklahoma, though his typical concert attire, which involves a mask and costume, may need some tweaking this time around.

"I'll be there, man. I always find a way to pull it off," he told the publication, looking back to a previous tour where he broke both of his heels by jumping on a concrete stage on the very first night, finishing out the rest of the tour in a wheelchair, as an example.
