Kelly Rutherford Puts Coquette Spin on Minimalism in Cropped Blouse and Matching Tiered Midi Skirt at Outdoor Film Festival
Kelly Rutherford brought the coquette trend to the second annual Outdoor Film Festival in San Valentino Torio, Italy on Friday.
The “Gossip Girl” star selected a cropped button-up blouse featuring puff sleeves and a jagged hemline by Podyh, pairing it with a matching tiered midi skirt, also from the Ukranian label. Rutherford completed her look with brown cutout Tod’s loafers.

The actress wore her blond tresses in a sleek updo, while her makeup consisted of black eyeliner and mauve lipstick.
Earlier this year, Rutherford attended the launch of the Mithridate x LuisaViaRoma capsule in Paris. At the event, she sported an asymmetrical Qipao-inspired design by the Chinese label.
“Mithridate has been an incredible discovery. I’m glad it’s really growing and expanding here. The brand is very magical,” Rutherford told WWD at the event.
With the LuisaViaRoma capsule, the brand, which was named after King Mithridates VI of Pontus, who allegedly attempted suicide by poison but survived due to his immunity to the drug, said it hopes to further raise its awareness in the West with its “more is more” aesthetic.
“Personally, I am fond of street elements in design and style. Street fashion embodies cultural fusion. It’s vibrant, imaginative and never conventional. So, sometimes I try to incorporate a street attitude to deal with the conflict and fusion between East and West, as well as tradition and trend,” said Demon Zhang, creative director of Mithridate.
Coquette styling is proving popular this year, with full skirts, lace, florals and pale hues taking the fashion world by storm. During the spring 2024 season, designers including Simone Rocha, Richard Quinn and Valentino embraced feminine flairs, sending romantic silhouettes down the runway.
