The Kentucky Author Forum announces next 3 speakers. Here's your guide to the fall series

The Kentucky Author Forum has released its fall lineup and it's full of big names.

The next three talks in the series, which is produced by Mary Moss Greenebaum, and sponsored by the Owsley Brown II Family, Bittners, and LDG Development, include New York Times bestselling-author Amor Towles, singer-songwriter Joan Baez, journalist Diane Rehm, Jim Sciutto, CNN’s chief national security analyst, and more.

The literary event features one author and interviewer in conversation before a live audience at the Bomhard Theater in the Kentucky Center, 501 W. Main St. Other partners in the annual series include Carmichael’s Bookstore, Kentucky Performing Arts, KET, and Louisville Public Media.

The next three Kentucky Author Forums will be held Sept 30 (Amor Towles and Alexandra Jacobs), Oct. 21 (Joan Baez and Diane Rehm), and Nov. 25 (Jim Sciutto). Here is a rundown of each event:

  • 5 p.m.: Wine and cheese reception, Carmichael’s pre-signed book sale in the lobby

  • 6 p.m.: Interview in the Bomhard Theater

  • 7 p.m.: Q&A with the audience in the Bomhard Theater

  • 7:30 p.m.: Dinner with author and interviewer at Muhammad Ali Center, 144 N. 6th St.

How much are tickets to the Kentucky Author Forum?

Tickets to the Kentucky Author Forum are $35, which includes all evening events before 7:30 p.m. Tickets that include all events, plus the dinner, are $170.
