Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele’s acclaimed comedy sketch show ended last fall, but the stars of Key & Peele will soon be reunited on the big screen in Keanu. The feature comedy, produced by the duo and co-written by Peele, tells the story of two friends who infiltrate a street gang to rescue a stolen kitten. Watch the red band trailer (NSFW) above.

The “Keanu” of the title isn’t the guy from The Matrix, but the name of the film’s star feline. When a heartbroken man named Rell (Peele) gets a visit from a stray cat, he’s able to start healing from his recent breakup. But Keanu disappears after a break-in, leading Rell and his cousin Clarence (Key) into the criminal underground, where they pose as gangsters in order to retrieve their kidnapped pet. “This entire movie was basically the most expensive adorable-kitten video of all time,” Peele joked to Entertainment Weekly last spring. “Overall it’s meant to satirize how pop culture paints masculinity and what it means to be African-American — and how many of us don’t fit into the mold expected of us.” Keanu opens in theaters on April 29.
