Keyshia Cole And K. Michelle Tease Potential Collaboration
Just a few weeks after K. Michelle released her final R&B album, I’m The Problem, the singer has teased that she may come out of retirement for a potential collaboration with Keyshia Cole.
On Thursday (Oct. 5), a fan of the “Love” songbird tweeted, “A @KeyshiaCole Joint Album would be so dope, who y’all want Keyshia to do a joint project with?”
One person replied, “Faith Evans, K. Michelle, or Keke Wyatt.” Another person co-signed the request for Cole to get in the studio with the Memphis native, chiming in, “K. Michelle they would compliment each other so well.” Cole, herself, agreed and tweeted, “I wouldn’t mind at all.”
Hours later, K. Michelle responded to the Cole’s tweet, writing, “I’m wit it [red heart emoji],” on her Instagram stories.
According to Rated R&B, this isn’t the first time the women have discussed the possibility of them creating music together. After a lengthy wave of tension about them being compared to each other, K. Michelle revealed on Twitter in February 2021 that she and the “Let It Go” singer had reconciled on Clubhouse.
“So last night on clubhouse was a great moment for the culture,” wrote the rising country star. “Me and @KeyshiaCole squashed any little misunderstandings we had like adults and sang songs together all night. Y’all might even see a joint EP.”
K. Michelle is currently gearing up to release her debut country EP under the name Puddin’, while Cole is working on new music following the release of her biopic earlier this year.
