Kids created a TV show on ‘Colbert’ starring Brooke Shields, Willem Dafoe, and Jason Segel
Some major star power visited The Late Show With Stephen Colbert to bring children’s dreams to life. Colbert visited with a bunch of elementary school kids to help him develop a new show. The youngsters wanted scary things, battle raps, and a visit from The Beatles, and one boy emphatically suggested the cast be Brooke Shields and Jeff Daniels.
The Late Show then filmed a trailer for the show complete with celebrity appearances from Brooke Shields, Jason Segel, Kathryn Hahn, Willem Dafoe, and Whoopi Goldberg. Michael Shannon, Hugh Laurie, John Oliver, and David Tennant also made appearances as the Fab Four.
The star-studded cast acted out all the strange, silly things the children requested. Because they cast Brooke Shields as herself but Jason Segel as Jeff Daniels, someone’s feelings were hurt. Daniels was seen at the end of the trailer saying, “Guys, I was available.”
